The verity's clear: there are times in which we find ourselves boggled beyond conventional capability-- again, why am I blogging? Well, perhaps this is not mainly your case as of the moment, and I guess it's just that sometimes, you crave the scent of inspiration and motivation when you click that 'New Post' button. Or you just really need someone to tell you why you are here, in this website, writing your musings down under the calm moon. Or you need something to help you wake your senses up when you feel like your connection with your co-bloggers starts to run dry.
Who ever said blogging was a piece of cake? Good news is, the not-so-living creatures on our shelves and on our desktops have provided us messages on how we can further nourish our role in the blogosphere-- here's a proof that lessons from books aren't meant to stay just on the pages!
1. Be grateful of your readers.
Do the statistics say five hundred and twenty, but you only receive roughly twenty loyal commentators daily? Or, do you find it hard to increase your usual like counts on Tumblr (because hey, I poured on so much for that feels-on-feels mixtape post!)? Either way, be thankful anyway. There may be times when you get so anxious at peeking others' blogs and putting your eyes back on your own and wondering w h a t i s w r o n g ? *attempted sulk* yet think about it, dear. It's not everyday that a lot will come across your virtual field, because truth is, a lot of other online abodes are in line as well, possibly doing the same amount of labor (of love) you're doing. Readers are earned out of persistence and pixie dust patience, so instead of getting your hope on everything low, keep a good attitude! Appreciate the fact that there are a couple of people who find your creations worth scrolling through, and see you as an online persona, one of the awesome kinds-- and yes, don't mind the numeric figure much if you may.
2. Connect and collaborate.
On a different angle, making friends in the blogging world actually sounds more blood-rushing exciting than the day-to-day actual chancing upon sessions we make, taking into account that we get to somehow discover one's likes immediately (we ship the same-- and oh, she's glued to The 1975 too?!?) when it comes to befriending co-bloggers. I bet you have already felt that blood-rushing feeling when you've realized how fulfilling it is to chinwag with like-minded people. So yes, aside from the initial act of appreciating the readers, why don't you fuel for some share-a-thon as well? Eventually, both of our creative juices can combine into fascinating blog projects: interviews with each other, passion projects (examples are collaborative poetry and photography), and even I-style-you-model fashion posts! Everything's better when shared with another (hence the I Know Write MNL community <3), definitely.
3. Present yourself the way you want to (despite whatnot).
We can't hide the truth that today's generation is coated with pressure and episodes of "I was kind of forced to...", which is completely saddening. The thing is, teens today are often subconsciously getting along with the popular stuff even if the true identities wouldn't even get close to agreeing. Don't get me the other way; there's no fault in fangirling over the band behind today's chart-topper and Instagram-ing that peculiar-looking ice cream thus joining the bandwagon-- it's just that, we as teens and moreover as bloggers have the right to know what really makes up our identity minus the rising and falling of different elements of pop culture (or even beyond it) around us. Don't let others style of speaking or dressing up or designing or picture-taking hinder you from doing what you really wanted to do at first. Respect yourself through respecting your idea. Go and tell straight that you didn't weep as much as others over that YA novel. Go and wear your secretly-favorite basic OOTD photo and post it proudly. Go and share to your readers that you'd always choose watching basketball over rushing to the mall for a Forever 21 sale. So you say you're different? Well, I think that really makes you a lot more interesting!.jpg)

4. Get yourself driven.
In the first place, why are you blogging? What makes you open this online abode everyday? What do you see yourself crafting in the next years? It's amazing how blogging has transformed from being just "it's a plain ol' boredom-buster, friend, it's no big deal if you won't read it.." to "frieeeend, someone just reposted my food review and added 'worth reading! yay!'" Don't let that spark stop, co-blogger. Step out of the conventional lines and tell about the things which make your heart beat a whole lot faster; you have the superpower to inspire tons and tons of other hearts, just so you'd like to know.
through the intergalactic,
Jelou
